The canvas it self 18 x 24 , the oval is 15 x 21 . It is oil on a greyed canvas to start with , the border was painted first then the painting in the oval . The paint was complete at this stage but painting the large tree and foliage on the left side on the border always seems to make an even nicer composition , Thank You
